"Tears in The Nationalist office, ye have waited years for this," social media has been reacting Tipperary was buried in several feet of snow on Saturday night and into Sunday.
A Status Orange snow and ice warning for the Premier County is in effect until 8pm on Sunday night and emergency services in Tipperary are advising people not to travel on the roads.
Bingo has been cancelled in many towns and villages and there are reports of several accidents and vehicles getting stuck due to impassable roads. Thousands are also without power with more snowfall expected throughout the day.
