BREAKING: Another Tipperary school confirms it will NOT open on Monday due to snowfall

A second Tipperary secondary school has confirmed it will NOT be opening on Monday due to the adverse weather conditions. 

Presentation Secondary School Thurles said on Sunday: "Due to the heavy snowfall and predicted icy conditions the school building will remain closed tomorrow. Please be careful."

The first Tipperary school to confirm it would NOT be open on Monday following heavy snowfall and a Status Orange weather warning over the weekend in the county was Presentation Ballingarry Secondary School.

The school said: "In light of the orange weather warning, and to ensure the safety of all travelling to Presentation Ballingarry, the school will remain closed Monday. Further updates will be issued if required."

A Status Orange weather warning will be in place until 8pm on Sunday.
