Good news for the long weekend's weather as high pressure will sit over Ireland and keep the wind and rain away for Saturday, Sunday and likely Monday now too.
Some showers will push down the country Thursday night but clear south Friday morning and then a lovely weekend ahead with sunny spells but it will be cool.
Met Éireann's Irish weather forecast for St Patrick's weekend is below:
Wednesday: Isolated light showers, otherwise dry with occasional breaks in the cloud. Highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees in a light to moderate northerly wind, occasionally freshening.
