Carrick-on-Suir's Brewery Lane Theatre is celebrating Culture Night by screening an animated children's film – Puffin Rock and the New Friends.
The film, which was recently released in Irish cinemas, is based on the award winning children's television series Puffin Rock and is the creation of Kilkenny's Oscar nominated Cartoon Saloon and Derry studio Dog Ears. It's the first animated feature to be produced in Northern Ireland.
Puffin Rock and the New Friends celebrates Ireland’s magnificent natural environment with themes of belonging, courage, and friendship.
The television show's favourite characters Oona, Baba, May, and Mossy are joined by a new cast of characters as Isabelle, Phoenix, and Marvin arrive on the island.
When the last little egg of the season disappears under mysterious circumstances, Oona and her new friends race against time to bring it home before a big storm hits Puffin Rock and puts the entire island in danger.
The film screening is free but it's essential to book your place in advance. The screening starts at 6.30pm.
