ALL IRELAND MINOR HURLING CHAMPIONSHIP

Well done to manager William Maher, on guiding his young charges, which includes Ger Fennelly from Ballingarry Club, to victory over Galway on Sunday. Best of luck to William, Ger and all the team in the Final against Dublin.

COMMUNITY GAMES

The National Finals of Community Games took place in Athlone last weekend. Among these was a Ballingarry team representing parish and county in Under 12 skittles, who emerged victorious once again. Well done to manager Jesse Donovan and his team of Lauren Cleary, Stephen Cleary, Daniel Lyons, Louise Lawlor, AJ Dunne and Aaron Dunne. Next weekend attention turns to athletics and Ballingarry and Tipperary will be represented by Aoibhe O’Shea, Mohober, in the girls U14 800m finals.

BALLINGARRY GAA

Fixtures: South Minor A Hurling. Wednesday, August 22. Kilsheelan Gaels V Ballingarry. 7pm, at Ned Hall Park.

Saturday, August 25. Ballingarry V Skeheenarinky. 5pm in Kilsheelan.

South Junior A Hurling Championship Group 2, August 17. Ballingarry 1-13 - Clonmel Óg 0-16 a draw.

Its Parish Journal time again and the committee are asking anyone with a story to tell, perhaps a journey they made, poetry, obituaries for loved ones who passed away during the year. Old and new good quality photographs - Wedding, Graduations etc relating to the parish, please give them to any committee member or Email ballingarryparishjournal.com.
