THE LATE MICHAEL IRWIN

The death took place on Saturday, April 27, of Michael Irwin, Innis Grove, and late of Lower Monard. Michael was known for his involvement with Drom and Athlacca G.A.A. He also worked with the Eletric Ruler Scheme, Roadstones Ballyneety, He was a publican in Cappawhite, and farmed at Lower Monard.

His remains were removed from his residence to St Nicholas Church on Monday. Requiem Mass was celebrated by Fr Morris, assisted by Canon Costello, Bruff, Fr Mullins, Athlacca, and Fr Mc Aullife, Bruree. Interment took place in Bruff Cemetery,

Sympathy is extended to his wife Mary, sons, daughters, grandchildren, brothers and sister. His funeral was very large reflecting his popularity in the parish. May he rest in peace.
