A talented harpist and pianist, Ceiline performs regularly at prestigious events across the UAE, including the Dubai World Cup and a private engagement for Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum.

School teacher in Dubai with Tipperary links will take part in the Rose of Tralee 2025

A primary school teacher with links to Tipperary will take part in the Rose of Tralee as the first United Arab Emirates rose in the festival's history. 

Ceiline O'Meara, a primary school teacher and musician from Limerick has been selected as the first ever UAE Rose for 2025.

She is currently based in Dubai. Granddaughter of Nora O’Meara Cloneen, she loves returning to the Premier county to visit.

On a career break from Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh in Roxboro, Limerick, she moved to the region to pursue new opportunities in education, music, and modelling.

A talented harpist and pianist, Ceiline performs regularly at prestigious events across the UAE, including the Dubai World Cup and a private engagement for Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum.

She is an active member of Comhaltas in the UAE and will travel to Wexford this summer to perform at the All-Ireland Fleadh.

Ceiline began modelling in 2018 with the Celia Holman Lee Agency and continues this passion abroad, recently collaborating with luxury brand Cara Jewellers.

Her involvement in fashion includes television appearances and fashion shows both in Ireland (RTÉ, Virgin Media) and Dubai.

Having grown up attending the festival with her family in Kerry, Ceiline is honoured to represent the United Arab Emirates as the UAE Rose in the upcoming 2025 Rose of Tralee Festival proudly representing the Irish community living abroad.
