The Queen of the Suir festival begins in Golden Village this Wednesday. Four days of fun to follow.
Festival fever is now
Our parish of Golden Kilfeacle is gearing up for our Queen Of The Suir 4-Day Festival starting this Wednesday, May 29 with kayaking on the river Suir with our Queen entrants at 6pm.
5k walk/run around Mantlehill from 6.30pm. €5 entry.
Kiddies disco at 6.30pm with art competition, Little prince and Princess, best dancer, best costume, etc. Just €5 entry per child
Thursday, May 30: Festival Drive in bingo at 8pm in our gaa grounds. Gates open at 6.30pm. Our Queen entrants will be introduced at 7.30pm followed by official interview of Queen entrants with our judges in GAA complex.
Friday, May 31: Festival Field Evening at 6pm in our GAA grounds with Dog Show, Dunk Tank, Bottle Bank. Also the Queen Of the Suir winner will be announced. Also Best Nana and Grandad winners.
Timber auction, Kiddies races, Juvenile GAA Hurling Blitz, Mothers and Others Blitz, Festival raffle, Car boot stalls, Tea/coffee/treats in GAA complex with a field evening draw with tickets on sale at coffee stand, Barbecue burgers, shop, Pillow Fight.
Festival Draw
Festival Draw will take place in Billy Tooheys Bar Golden after our field evening at 10pm.

Jimmy Buckley
Our big Saturday night dance extravaganza with Jimmy Buckley and full band with early dancing to DJ Richie on Saturday, June 1 in the GAA complex. Dancing from 8.30pm. Admission on the door just €20. Bar facilities
