The Carrick-on-Suir Roadrunners AC annual winter league sponsored by Guiney's SuperValu, Carrick-on-Suir begins next Tuesday, January 7.
The league runs weekly for seven weeks, consisting of 4k races where participants predict their finishing time, and score points for teams of three for correct predictions, allowing everyone a great chance to score a prize while kicking off the New Year with some good exercise.
The league is open to all club members, with membership sign-up available on the night for newcomers. It is suitable for all standards including absolute beginners. There is a designated tail-walker, ensuring no one is left behind.
The cost is €20 and €35 for annual club membership.
