Perhaps of more interest to many hurling fans is the sale of Lot 82, Hayes Hotel, the founding site of the GAA. GAA HQ have decided not to put in a bid for the iconic hotel, which has a Reserve Range price of between €450,000 - €500,000. The historic 30-bedroom hotel includes a reception, lounge bar, coffee dock, and two nightclubs (‘The Factory’ and ‘The Icon’), together with the famous Cusack’s Bar. The site extends out to some 1,949.9sqm (19,901 sq ft or 1.08 acres) in a prime location. The premises comes with a seven-day publican’s licence.
