Tipperary entrepreneur Liam Kearney, CEO and co-founder of the Revive Group, has been named as a finalist for the 2026 EY Entrepreneur of the Year Ireland award. The organisation is dedicated to transitioning the water and wastewater industry from a traditional disposal model toward a circular economy.

Liam has credited this prestigious recognition to the collective dedication of the Revive Group team, the board of directors, and his co-founder, Micheál Boyle. He emphasises that the group’s success and this latest milestone would not be possible without the hard work of the entire staff.

Based in County Tipperary, the group’s leadership is defined by a holistic approach to sustainability. This is evidenced by the Revive Eco Park, which stands as Ireland’s first completely off-grid, renewable-powered manufacturing facility. Under Liam’s direction, the group has scaled the Revive Warrior Programme, extending equipment lifespan to over 30 years, and integrated Revive Live, a suite of digital tools providing data-driven intelligence for critical infrastructure.

Liam’s innovative mindset is rooted in a non-traditional approach to problem-solving. He attributes his analytical and critical thinking skills to his experience with dyslexia, which has allowed him to navigate challenges with a unique perspective throughout his career. This drive for innovation led to the successful launch of a new patented technology in 2025, which is now being utilised to enhance operational efficiency across the sector.

His professional background includes a distinguished tenure as a director and senior management team member at the Danish manufacturing firm J. Hvidtved Larsen. In 2014, his service to the Danish economy was recognised by HRH Prince Henrik of Denmark, who presented him with the Medal of Honour alongside a diploma from the Danish Export Association.

Beyond global operations, Liam remains deeply committed to the local economy. The Revive Group continues to create high-quality jobs and support community initiatives that provide meaningful routes to employment. As a strategic partner to operators across the UK, Ireland, Europe, and Australasia, Liam is focused on the vision of making the Revive Group a top three premium manufacturer in Europe by 2030.
