The Tipperary man was celebrated for his good deed this week
A young Tipperary man has been thanked on social media for a good deed that he did to help a person in need.
Joe Fanning from Fanning's Motor Factors in Cahir was lauded on social media for taking time out of his day to help a person who failed their NCT on Monday morning.
The poster wrote that they had their NCT in Cahir at 7.15am on Monday, but that their car failed the test on a brake light.

"I did not want to have to go back down again so I went up to Fanning's garage on the Clonmel Rd hoping they would have a bulb suitable," the poster wrote.
"Well... I met one of the nicest young lads. He spent time getting panel off to replace bulb which took him from his job in the shop. This was at 7.30 in the morning. I'm so grateful to him," the post on social media wrote.
The poster said that Mr Fanning's parents "should be very proud of you. You will go far."

The person said that their car then passed the NCT, getting a "shiny new cert".
