Uisce Éireann crews are continuing to work to resolve a technical issue at Lissava Water Treatment Plant, Cahir Co. Tipperary which has resulted in a disruption to supply for customers.
Approximately 70 customers in the Lissava, Cahirabbey Upper and surrounding areas may be affected as technicians work to resolve the matter and repair works are expected to be completed by 1pm this afternoon, 22 December.
Alternative water supplies will become available from 9am this morning, Monday 22 December, in the form of bulk tankers, which can be accessed Cahirabbey Upper and Clonmore south.

Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from tankers and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure.
Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty assured those affected that a team is working at the plant to resolve the issue and every effort is being made to restore a normal water supply as quickly as possible.
“We understand the inconvenience of an unplanned outage and we thank impacted customers for their support while repair works continue.”
