Public urged to support Carrick-on-Suir's Daffodil Day collection this Friday

Irish Cancer Society

Carrick-on-Suir's Daffodil Day collection in aid of the Irish Cancer Society will take place in the town this Friday, March 22.

Once again, the organisers of the annual fundraising collection would like your loyal and continued support.

The following is how your generosity supported cancer patients and their families in 2023

Co.Tipperary

850 free drives to bring 90 patients to and from treatment safely

402 nights of night nursing care to allow patients at the end of life to spend their final days surrounded by their loved ones 

695 Free counselling sessions for those affected by cancer

403 Supportive and comforting conversations with people affected by cancer through their support line

Co. Waterford 

242 drives

95 Night Nurses

1201 Counselling sessions

863 Supportive conversations 

Co. Kilkenny

168 Drives

240 Night nurses

115 Counselling sessions

238 Support conversations
