Carrick Davins Under 13 footballers benefited from a bye at the weekend, giving them a valuable chance to get in more training ahead of their upcoming matches. The extra pitch time will stand to them as the season progresses.
The Under 17 team were in action on Sunday at home in Páirc Daiṁín, where they faced a strong Ballyporeen outfit.
While Ballyporeen proved the stronger side on the day, the attitude and work rate from the Davins players were outstanding and deserves great credit.
Intermediate Hurling
The Intermediate hurlers travelled to Clonoulty/Rossmore for the second round of the League.
Two well-worked goals from the home side left our lads with too much to do in the end. Despite the result, it was a fantastic game, and management took the opportunity to trial players in new positions. The panel is beginning to take shape as they look ahead to the next challenge.
Little Rebels Academy
Carrick Davins Little Rebels Academy is now up and running, with sessions taking place every Wednesday at 6.15pm.
The Academy is open to new members of all abilities. It's a brilliant introduction to Gaelic games in a fun and supportive environment.
