Patrick O’Loughlin, of Panduit Carrick Wheelers CC, claimed a hard-fought win at the 2025 Kilteely GP, sprinting to victory at the end of a gripping 90km contest.
The race hosted by Greenmount Cycling Academy in Limerick, was raced over 12 laps of a rolling 7.5km circuit around the village of Kilteely.

The main race featured both C1 and C2 category riders, with the latter enjoying a five-minute head start.
But the C1s wasted no time in getting down to business — the race blew apart the first time up the main climb, with a group of 20 riders going clear.
That group was whittled down to 15 after just 20km of racing as the pressure stayed high.
With four laps to go, the C1s made contact with the front of the race, setting the stage for a dramatic finale.
A series of aggressive moves followed, with O’Loughlin (Panduit Carrick Wheelers CC), Liam Crowley (Team Vorarlberg), Shane McKay (Sportbreizh Axel Armor-lux), and Velo Performance duo of Willem O’Connor and Michael Collins forcing a breakaway group of five.

Despite the Velo Performance pair attempting to play their numbers on the final lap with repeated attacks, the group held together heading into the final long drag up into Kilteely.
In the end, O’Loughlin proved to have the sharpest kick and took home the win.
