Journeyman Programme attendees and staff hosted a cake sale and raffle in aid of the Oak Ward at the South East Palliative Care Centre in Waterford at their wonderful facility at Ballinagrana, Carrick.
They were thrilled with the huge support they received at the fundraiser on October 22 and thank everyone who called in and bought many home baked treats and tickets for the raffle.
The raffle boasted 20 prizes including generous gift vouchers, beautiful handmade crafts and gifts.
All the team at the Journeyman Programme extend their thanks to everyone who donated baked treats to make the cake sale such a success with €1652.95 raised for Oak Ward on the day.
Oak Ward is the ground floor of the South East Palliative Care Centre (SEPC), situated in the grounds of University Hospital Waterford (UHW).
It comprises 20 inpatient bedrooms with individual patio gardens for patients requiring the expertise of a specialist palliative care multidisciplinary team.
