Busy Tipperary motorway junction to close for resurfacing works in November

Tipperary County Council has announced it intends to close the M8 Motorway Junction 9 Northbound off-slip and on-slip and Southbound off-slip and on-slip, Cashel nightly from November 18 until December 2, 2024.

The closure will take effect from 9:30pm to 6am each night.

The reason for the closure is resurfacing works.

Traffic through Junction 9 will be diverted via the N-74, Cahir Road, Lower Green, R-639 to Junction 8 in the Northbound direction. 
 
Traffic in the Southbound direction will be diverted via Junction 8, R-639, Lower Green, Cahir Road to Junction 9 and from Junction 9 to Cahir via the R-639, through New Inn, to Junction 10 near Cahir. 

Objections can be made to the council until noon, Thursday, October 21.
