Students from Rockwell College were celebrating after their win at Feis Maitiú
A Tipperary school are celebrating this week after their musical theatre took home a top prize from Feis Maitiú in Cork at the weekend.
Students from Cashel's Rockwell College took home first place in Class 335 at the annual festival which allows performers to showcase their talents in front of a group of experiences judges.
Students from the Tipperary school performed a number from their school play, Matilda, which scored highly with the judges on the day.

Grace Kennedy channeled her inner headmistress with just the right mix of authority and mischief in her portrayal of Miss Trunchbull, the college said, while Michael O’Mahony, Ellen Ryan, and Grace Heaney also delivered stellar performances in their lead roles, captivating the audience from start to finish, a statement from the school said.
The entire ensemble were celebrated by Rockwell College for their performance at the The Father Mathew Hall in Cork, with the college also paying a special thank you to the Rockwell Music Academy team, especially Nicole Butler and Cole Flanagan, whose guidance and expertise helped bring this production to life, as well as Marina, the accompanist, for her invaluable support.

The school also paid tribute to the parents and staff who helped out behind the scenes, as well as those travelled to support the students on stage.
