NEW: Halla na Féile say goodbye to beloved caretaker after 24 years of service

Halla na Féile would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to John Joe Turner, who has recently retired from his role as caretaker of the much-loved community hall.

John Joe has been the steady hand behind so many of the events and activities that brought people together here, from bingo nights and social dancing to meetings, fundraisers, pantomimes and everything in between.

His hard work, reliability, and kindness made sure the hall was always ready and welcoming for all.

The board also want to give a special thank you to Mags Turner, John Joe’s wife, for her constant support over the years.

"John Joe, we’re truly grateful for everything you’ve done for the hall and the community. Enjoy your well-earned retirement, it’s more than deserved!" the board members said in a statement.
