Cashel Palace Hotel named among Europe and UK's best hotels by Condé Nast Traveler

The luxury Cashel hotel has been recognised among the top places to stay in Europe and the UK by Condé Nast Traveler
Cashel Palace Hotel has been recognised as one of the finest places to stay in Europe and the UK after being featured in a prestigious list compiled by Condé Nast Traveler editors and readers.
The luxury five-star hotel in Cashel joins an elite group of destinations across Britain and Europe, alongside notable Irish luxry hotels including Ballyfin Demesne in county Laois and Adare Manor in county Limerick.
In its review, Condé Nast Traveler praised Cashel Palace Hotel as a "gloriously detailed yet unstuffy reimagining" of a 300-year-old mansion that has helped redefine luxury hospitality in Ireland.
Located at the foot of the iconic Rock of Cashel, the hotel occupies a restored Palladian mansion originally built in 1732 as the residence of the Archbishop of Cashel. Today, it combines historic grandeur with contemporary luxury, offering guests views of one of Ireland's most famous heritage sites.
The publication highlighted the hotel's rich history, noting that it was carefully restored by the Magnier family, owners of the world-renowned Coolmore Stud. The family transformed the Grade I-listed building into a luxury destination while preserving its historic character.
The review also singled out the hotel's 42 rooms and suites, particularly those overlooking the gardens and the Rock of Cashel. Guests can enjoy fine dining at The Bishop's Buttery, where locally sourced Tipperary produce features prominently on the menu, while the popular Cellar Bar offers a more relaxed setting.
Cashel Palace's spa also received praise, with visitors encouraged to experience its outdoor seaweed baths and treatments using premium Irish and international wellness brands.
The magazine highlighted the wealth of attractions available in the surrounding area, including tours of local food producers, visits to Tipperary Boutique Distillery and experiences at nearby Cashel Farmhouse Cheesemakers.
Sustainability efforts at the hotel were also recognised. These include sourcing water from an on-site well, composting food waste and working closely with local suppliers to reduce food miles.
Condé Nast Traveler also commended the hotel's staff, describing the service as warm, welcoming and highly professional.
The recognition further strengthens Cashel Palace Hotel's reputation as one of Ireland's leading luxury destinations and places a global spotlight on both Cashel and County Tipperary as premier tourism locations.
