A group discussing the paintings in an exhibition at Clonmel Library that honour the late Eimear King
An exhibition of paintings by the Friday Art Class will continue at Clonmel Library until April 26.
The exhibition was launched event on April 16 and the paintings are the product of the Friday Art Class that is run under the auspices of STAC in their premises on Nelson Street, the tutor being Tony Crosse.

The exhibition is a tribute to the late Eimear King, who worked at STAC until her untimely death last April. Eimear was a great support and encouragement to everybody in the class it was her idea that there should be an exhibition of the work.
The exhibition is being held to commemorate her first anniversary and the exhibition includes paintings done over the last few years put together to honour Eimear and her belief in the group.

Most of the class members are retired and have taken up painting and drawing later in life. Under Tony's expert tutelage and the support of each other and all the staff at STAC everybody involved is very proud of the artistic achievements of the group.
