CBS High School Clonmel will hold a dinner dance in Hotel Minella as part of th eir 125th anniversary
CBS High School, Clonmel is gearing up for an unforgettable night of fun, laughter and dancing as it proudly celebrates 125 years of excellence in education.
The local school is calling on its alumni, past and present, former teachers, supportive parents, and valued members of the community to be part of CBS High School’s milestone celebration.

According to Karen Steenson, Principal, " it is a night to come together to honour 125 years of learning, friendships and unforgettable moments.’’
GUESTS
Attending the dinner dance will be distinguished guests, including the Austrian Ambassador Melitta Schubert, Ulrike Schoeller (Irish Austrian Society), Dr Terry O’Callaghan (former consultant and son of Dr Pat O’Callaghan) and Daire Lynch (Olympian medal winner).
Former pupil Mark Hannify will make a short address. A native of Clonmel, he attended the High School from 1994 to 1999, graduating in the school's centenary year.
He subsequently attended the National University of Ireland, Galway, where he later lectured and was awarded a PhD for research in organic nitrogen chemistry.
Mr Hannify joined the Department of Foreign Affairs in 2007 and has served in a number of diplomatic posts, including as First Secretary at the Permanent Mission of Ireland to the United Nations in Geneva, as Consul General of Ireland in Scotland, and as Joint Secretary to the North South Ministerial Council. He is presently Director of Operations for Ireland's EU Presidency in 2026.

HOTEL MINELLA
The night will begin with a drinks reception in Hotel Minella. This will be followed by a delicious four course meal. The well known band the Pearly Whites will then entertain with their fantastic music repertoire that guarantees to get everyone on the dance floor.
