The Talbot Collection has proudly been named one of Ireland’s Best Workplaces in Hospitality 2025 by Great Place to Work Ireland.

This means that the Talbot Hotel Clonmel stands shoulder to shoulder with some of the country’s most celebrated hotels.
This recognition places the locally-loved Talbot Hotel Clonmel on a national stage, affirming that exceptional workplace culture isn’t just found in large city hotels, but is thriving right here in Tipperary.

This honour, shared with other hotels across the Talbot Collection, highlights the Talbot Hotel Clonmel’s unwavering commitment to creating a positive, supportive and forward-thinking environment for its team.

It reflects the hotel’s passion not only for delivering outstanding guest experiences but also for nurturing its most valuable asset, their people.

As part of an evaluation that included over 8,000 hospitality employees across Ireland, just 38 organisations achieved this prestigious recognition.

The Talbot Hotel Clonmel stood out for its employee engagement, dedication to staff development and a workplace culture rooted in trust, respect and appreciation.

In an industry known for its fast pace and high demands, the Talbot Hotel Clonmel continues to lead the way by ensuring that staff wellbeing remains at the heart of everything it does.

From offering meaningful career development to encouraging work-life balance, the hotel proves that it’s possible to compete with the best, all while keeping its strong local identity and community roots.

“We are incredibly proud to be recognised as one of Ireland’s Best Workplaces in Hospitality,” said Michael Boyle, General Manager of the Talbot Hotel Clonmel.

“This award belongs to our amazing team who show up every day with enthusiasm, professionalism and genuine care for our guests and each other.

“Being part of this list shows that we’re doing something truly special here in Clonmel, and we’ll continue to build on this success together”.

The numbers behind the award speak volumes: 80% of employees in the top-performing hospitality workplaces agree theirs is a great place to work, compared to just 50% in the broader industry.

“And while only 43% of employees across the industry say they have access to career development, that figure rises to 73% in the Best Workplaces , a key area where the Talbot Hotel Clonmel and the other hotels within the Talbot Collection excel.

As the hospitality industry evolves, the Talbot Hotel Clonmel is not just keeping up, it’s leading the way.

This award is not just about status; it's about a local Clonmel hotel setting the standard and showing that local can be every bit as exceptional as national.
