RIP: Funeral details announced for young Tipperary man who lost his life this week

The funeral details for a young Tipperary man who passed away earlier this week have been announced.

Cathal O’Keeffe of Elm Park, Clonmel, sadly passed away on Monday, September 8.

Cathal, age 20, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday morning.

He is pre-deceased by his grandparents Sean and Kathy (Doyle) and Geraldine (O’Keeffe), and uncles John (O’Keeffe) & Johnny D.

Beloved son of Dave and Olivia, he will be sadly missed by his heartbroken parents, sisters Shannon and Abbie, girlfriend Kira, grandfather John, uncle Gordon, aunt Anita, brother-in-law James, Dave’s partner Trish, cousins, extended family and his many, many friends.

Reposing at his home (E91 XR25) on Thursday, September 11, from 3pm to 7pm.

Removal on Friday to St Oliver’s Church.

Funeral Mass on arrival at 11am.

Cremation will take place at 2pm in Shannon Crematorium.

Family flowers only.

Donations, if desired to a charity of personal choice.

Tributes after being paid after the sad passing of Cathal O'Keeffe of Elm Park, Clonmel, Tipperary on Monday, September 8.

People have been posting tributes on rip.ie and social media saying Cathal was a "true gentleman" with one sympathiser saying "words fail me".

One mourner added: "Olivia, Shannon and Abbie Kate, I'm so so sorry for your heartbreaking loss of lovely Cathal, you are in our thoughts at this very difficult time."

Another added: "So sorry for your loss Olivia, and family. Cathal was a lovely lad always smiling and pleasant. He will be sorely missed."
