Uisce Éireann wishes to advise that a planned water outage which was scheduled to take place for customers supplied by the Goatenbridge Water Treatment Plant tomorrow, Thursday, November 6, has been postponed until further notice.
The outage had been scheduled to support the delivery of critical upgrade works on the Goatenbridge Water Treatment Plant and to repair leaks on the plant’s outlet trunk main which delivers the water supply to local homes and businesses.
Crews carried out works on the plant today without impacting customer supply. Technical challenges with the repair of the trunk main means that the outage scheduled for tomorrow must be delayed.
Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty said “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to homes and businesses supplied by the Goatenbridge Water Treatment Plant who may have prepared for an upcoming supply disruption which will not proceed as planned. We are committed to notifying customers ahead of the rescheduled repair works in the coming weeks.

Pierce continued, “Uisce Éireann wish to remind our customers that we have a free text service, providing real-time updates for local issues or planned interruption to supply. Customers can sign up with their Eircode and mobile number at our Text Alerts webpage.”
