The issue has been reported on the N24 in Clonmel
A “serious problem” exists on the N24 bypass route in Clonmel, with motorists damaging the tyres on their vehicles because they can’t see the build-outs at the traffic islands on the road.
This was stated by Cllr Siobhán Ambrose at a meeting of Clonmel Borough District.
The Mayor, Pat English, had requested that the Borough District, in conjunction with Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) would replace the markings on the various traffic islands on the N24 at both sodes of the Heywood Road junction with the N24 (the Frank Drohan inner relief road).

He said that this should be done in the interest of safety.
District Engineer James Murray said that the council only receives €15,000 for the maintenance of that route, and that was an indication of the pressure they were under.

Extra funding would be requested, he told the meeting.
