Volunteers gave this pondside in Tipperary a facelift after the winter

Marlfield Tidy Village committee members Theresa Mackey and Anne Tobin were part of the work team

The Marlfield Tidy Village work group in Clonmel had a busy week recently, harvesting the “brown gold” (including leaves) for composting and sweeping and giving the Pondside a facelift.

Two teams were on the job, one bagging the “brown gold”, the fallen leaves for mixing with grass, clay and cuttings.

The other team did a mighty job of work in sweeping, shovelling and removing the remainder of the leaves, to clean up the road verges and free the drainage.

Well done everyone.
