Clonmel Courthouse where the special court sitting will take place
A woman, aged in her 20s, will appear before Clonmel District Court this afternoon (Monday, October 6) charged in connection with the fatal assault of a 47-year-old man in Carrick-on-Suir on Saturday night.
The Garda Press Office said the woman arrested as part of the Garda investigation into the fatal assault has been charged and is due to appear before a special sitting of Clonmel District Court at 4pm.
The deceased man was found in an unresponsive state at a residential property at Callanan's Lane off Castle Street in Carrick town centre after emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 11pm on Saturday, October 4. He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
