LIVE: Tipperary gardaí issue warning after car seized at checkpoint on busy road

Under the "Clancy Amendment", gardaí seized the car.

Gardaí in Nenagh seized a vehicle during a checkpoint on Martyrs Road on October 8.

While most motorists were in compliance with the Road Traffic Act, officers stopped a driver who was on a recently issued learner's permit but was not displaying L plates and was unaccompanied by a fully licensed driver.

Under the "Clancy Amendment", gardaí seized the car.

A Fixed Charge Penalty Notice (FCPN) will also be issued for the offences.
