Kevin died suddenly at his home on Saturday, 1 February. The local community has been shaken by the sudden and tragic loss.

On his RIP.ie notice, one person commented: "He was such a friendly, kind, gentle young man and will be sadly missed by all who knew him."

Another shared: "Kevin, you were one of life's good ones which sadly departed far too soon. Your kind smile & gentle manner made it an honour to have known you. RIP Kevin, may you now finally be at peace."

Someone else said: "You were one of life’s absolute gentlemen Kevin. You touched so many lives with your kindness and down to earth helpfulness and genuine niceness. An absolute honour to have known you. "

Posts have been circulating on Facebook for members of the local biking community to form a guard of honour at Kevin's funeral as a tribute to the motorbike enthusiast.

According to the posts urging his fellow motorbike lovers to join the guard of honour: "Kevin was a very active part of the biking community for many years attending rallies and especially supporting any motorbike charity runs as his heart was big."
