Catherine Hannigan
(née Walsh)

The death has occurred of Catherine Hannigan late of 6 Glenview Carrick-on-Suir Co Tipperary died peacefully on the 24th September 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Pre-deceased by her daughter Jessica, sadly missed by her children John, PJ and Michael, brother Patsy, sisters Trisha and Mary, daughter-in-law Nicole, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

May Catherine rest in Peace.

Catherine will be reposing at Walsh’s Funeral home New Street Carrick-on-Suir on Friday the 26th September from 5pm to 6.30pm, Catherine will be arriving at St Nicholas Church, Carrick-on-Suir on Saturday the 27th September for requiem mass on arrival at 10.30am followed by burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery.

Lucy Kennedy
(née Hogan)

The death has occurred of Lucy Kennedy (nee Hogan) Ballinderry, Nenagh on September 23rd 2025. Peacefully, surrounded by her family in the wonderful care of the Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore.

 

Predeceased by her siblings Paddy, Madeline and Elsie, and her sons Paddy and baby Michael.

 

Beloved wife of John for 70 years and deeply regretted by her sons Liam and John (Ballinderry) and her daughters Majella and Mary (Birr) and Loretta (Dublin). Her daughters-in-law Sharon, Tracey and Edel and sons-in-law Liam Butler and James Smith. Her adored grandchildren Rory, Robbie, Hilary, Louise, Billy, Lucy, Ellen, Anna, David. Luke, Daniel (and their father Brian). Her sister-in-law Eileen Kennedy, nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.

 

Reposing at her former residence Bridge House, Ballinderry (E45RX22) on Thursday 25th September from 5pm-8pm. Private removal on Friday 26th September for her Funeral Mass in the Church of Immaculate Conception, Terryglass at 12pm, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

 

We kindly ask that John & Lucy’s home is to remain private at all times.

Gerard (Gerry) Kiely

KIELY, Gerard (Gerry), 23rd September 2025, Coolock and formerly of Cahir, Co. Tipperary. Died peacefully surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of the staff at Mount Hybla Nursing Home, Castleknock. Beloved husband of Geraldine and loving father of Emer, Anne and Elaine.


Predeceased by his parents Edward and Margaret and his brothers Declan and Kevin. Very sadly missed by his wife and daughters, sons-in-law John, Jonathan and Dave, grandchildren Seán, Caoimhe, Aoibhín, Joshua, Lucy, Christopher, Sam and Emily. Also missed by his extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Oscar Traynor Road, Coolock, D17 FK58 on Friday afternoon September 26th from 2pm to 4pm. Removal on Saturday morning to St. Brendan’s Church, Coolock, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial at St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton.

Unexpectedly at home. Predeceased by his parents Louie and Peggy (née Lawn), uncles Tony and Joseph, aunt Kathleen (Forrestal). Ger passed away peacefully at Waterford University Hospital on Tuesday evening surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Carmel and loving father of Anne and Rose he will be sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters, brothers Danny, Seamus and Pat, sisters Mary, Peggy, Anne, Bee and Kitty, his precious grandchildren Vera, Annie, Bonnie and Robin, son-in-law Brian, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

The death has occurred of Mary McGivney (nee O’Gorman), College Avenue, Clonmel and formerly Carhue, Dundrum, Co Tipperary.

 

Mary, in her 95th year, passed away peacefully in the tender care of the staff of Sonas Melview Nursing Home, Clonmel on Tuesday evening surrounded by her loving family. She is pre-deceased by her husband Frank, sisters and brothers. Beloved mother of Geraldine, Elizabeth (Askins), David, Mary (Lonergan) and Francis, she will be sadly missed by her loving daughters, sons, grandchildren Amy, Ali, Lucy, Tara, Aoife, Conor, Luke and Ava, great-grandchildren Oliver, Isabelle and Dáire, brother Con, sister Sr Christine (O’Gorman), sons-in-law Peter, Michael and Thomás, daughters-in-law Eileen and Deirdre, brothers-in-law Oliver and John, sisters-in-law Ann, Cathy and Mary, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
