Una Nagle
(née Nolan)

Una Nagle (née Nolan) of Upper Lacknalooha, Mallow, formerly of Monard and Rearcross, Co. Tipperary,

who passed away peacefully on January 15th 2026, surrounded by her family.


Una, was the loving wife of the late Finbarr, a much loved and wonderful mother to John, Malachy and Siobhán (Roche) and an adored grandmother to Katie, Joey, Barry, Shauna and Gavin. She is reunited now with her beloved husband Finbarr, her brothers Eddie, Donie and Malachy and her sisters Nancy (Hayes) and Mary (Fanning).


She leaves behind many people who loved her dearly, her sisters Phil (Buckley) and Tess (Mac Giola Ri), son-in-law Pat Roche, daughter-in-law Eileen (née Curtin), brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, extended family and many friends.

Una will be reposing at O’Connell’s Funeral Home, St. James’ Avenue, Mallow (P51 HH61) on Saturday (January 17th) from 6pm with Prayers at 7.30pm.


Her Funeral Mass will take place on Monday (January 19th) at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, Mallow, and will be available to view at

www.churchservices.tv/mallow.

Joey O'Dwyer Dee

Predeceased by his loving grandparents Sean and Nancy O'Dwyer of Leigh, Two Mile Borris. Deeply missed and loving remembered by his mother Sinéad, father Derek, his cherished sons Kodie (and his mother Leah) and Levi (and his mother Emma), his brothers and sisters Ayla, Dylan, Melissa and Damon, aunts and uncles, extended family and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing in Hugh Ryan's Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on Saturday 17th January from 5pm to 7pm. Arriving at the Cathedral of the Assumption, Thurles on Sunday 18th January at 10.30am for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Thurles

Bridget Prout
(née Flynn)

The death has occurred of Bridget Prout (née Flynn), Wilderness Grove, Clonmel, Co.Tipperary, January 14th 2026. Peacefully at Tipperary University Hospital with her family by her side. Predeceased by her husband John and son Thomas. Bridget will be sadly missed and never to be forgotten by her loving family, son's, daughters, brother Mick, daughter-in-law Dee, sister-in-law Kathleen, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and her many friends.

Reposing at her daughter's residence (29 Wilderness Grove) this Sunday evening from 4 o'clock to 6 o'clock with removal on Monday morning to The Church of The Resurrection for Requiem Mass on arrival at 11 o'clock followed by interment in St.Patrick's cemetery. 

Noreen Appleby
(née Hickey)

Noreen Appleby (nee Hickey) (Darlington, Co. Durham, UK and formerly of Greenfields, Cappawhite, Co. Tipperary) December 30th 2025.

 

Predeceased by her loving husband George, her brothers Liam, Pat, Sean and Joe and her sisters Betty and Carmel, her beloved sons-in-law Dave and Trevor.

 

Deeply regretted by her children Carmel, Pat, Marion, Sean and Liam, daughter-in-law Margaret, Liam’s partner Jackie, son-in-law Paul, brother Francis, brother-in-law Tony, grandchildren, great grandchildren, beloved nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

 

Rest in peace.

 

Funeral will be held on Friday 30th January in Darlington.

 

Noreen will be forever remembered for her kindness and the abundance of love she showered on everyone she held dear.

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Nora and Jimmy. Peacefully, in her 91st year, surrounded by her family, in the wonderful care of the Matron and Staff of Mount Carmel Nursing Home, Roscrea.

Deeply regretted by her daughter Paula (Sutton) and son John Costigan, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother, sister, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

 

Reposing in St Patrick's Funeral Home, Dunkerrin E53DY61, this Saturday 17th from 12-30 pm arriving at St. Mary's Church, Dunkerrin, for Requiem Mass at 2 pm.

 

Burial immediately afterwards in Cloughjordan Cemetery (adjoining SS Michael's and John's Church Cloughjordan)

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family. In the wonderful care of the staff of Elm Hall Nursing Home, Celbridge, Co.Kildare. Predeceased by her husband Willie. She will be greatly and lovingly missed by her children Billy, Anne Marie and Christine, daughter-in-law Bríd, sons-in-law John and Guy, grandchildren Emma, Laura, Siobhan, Daragh, Orlagh and Sophie, great grandchildren Jack, Calvin and Luca, sister Angela, nieces, nephews, relatives, dearest friends and neighbours.

Tom Costello, Pallas, Borrisoleigh, Co. Tipperary. Died January 15th 2026.

Predeceased by his father Matthew, mother Sarah and uncle Jim.

Noreen late of 21 Castle Heights, passed away peacefully in Waterford University Hospital on 14th January 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Noreen Bridget will be sadly missed by her loving children Leona, Louise, John, Joe, Ida-may, Xanda & Bridget. Predeceased by her husband Austin and baby Noel. Beloved mother of Gerard, Donal, Austin, Frank, Anne, Jean and Dolores. Sadly missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister Pauline, brother Danny, extended family, neighbours and many friends.
