Tipperary farmer Mark Harold-Barry to host a farm walk in June
A Tipperary farmer is set to host a farm walk to inspire other farmers who want to embrace sustainable practices on their farms this summer.
Mark Harold-Barry, a mixed farmer working in Cordangan, just outside Tipperary Town, will host the farm walk on June 28, and will talk about self-sufficient in fertility and feed – low input farming for climate and financial resilience.
The farm walks take place as part of Farming for Nature's summer series, offering farmers who want to make changes on their farms to to learn from someone who’s been along the path already.
The walk will take two and a half hours (approx.), and will include a walk around with the farmer, a look at some of the habitats/species, as well as the livestock and/or crops.

Those in attendance can feel free to engage with the farmer about how they manage the land in support of nature.
Anyone interested in attending can book a ticket here, but those attending are being warned that the walk is for farmers and people with an interest in farming for nature. They are meant to be an interactive knowledge exchange.
They are not suitable for children, or for people/groups looking for an ‘organised walk’ in the countryside.
People are also asked to wear suitable footwear for uneven and potentially muddy conditions.
The farm walk with Mark Harold-Barry takes place on June 28 from 2pm.
