Cashel King Cormacs have announced their new hurling management team to take over the reins as the club prepares for senior hurling once more this summer.

The new management team includes Clarecastle native Fergie O'Loughlin from Clare and former Cork player Eoin Cadogen who both look to make a mark in Tipperary club hurling.

Cashel King Cormacs were the Tipperary and Munster club champions back in 1991 when they were coached by Cork hurling legend Justin MacCarthy so Cadogen will be hoping for similar success.

The club played at intermediate level in recent seasons and won the premier intermediate title in Tipperary after a fine display in last years county final against Carrick Swan.

They then went on a roll in the provincial championship only to be stopped in the Munster final by eventual All-Ireland champions Watergrasshill.

Two Cashel players lined out for Tipperary against Laois in the hurling challenge in aid of Marys Meals last night in Templemore with Oisin O'Donoghue striking six points while Eoghan Connolly operated at full back.

TJ Connolly and his management team stepped down after the run last season and now the new management team prepare for the clubs first year back playing senior hurling.

Fergie O'Loughlin has been involved in his own club in Clare as well as Ballybrown and Bruff in recent seasons as well as the Waterford hurlers in 2023.

Eoin Cadogen played for Cork hurlers and footballers for a decade and has been part of the management of Dungarvan in Waterford.

Cashel will look to take on Clonoulty Rossmore in the West-Tipperary championship and will look to emerge from their group and progress in the Dan Breen cup.

The draw for the club championship groups hasn't taken place yet in Tipperary.
