Three former Tipperary senior hurlers have had transfers to clubs in Australia ratified by Croke Park recently.
According to the latest Inter-County Transfer List on the official GAA website, Cathal Barrett, Enda Heffernan, and Billy McCarthy will all head down under to ply their trade, or have already done so for various clubs this year.
Barrett was a big omission from the Tipperary training squad named in late 2024 ahead of the 2025 season, having played in all four of Tipperary's championship games in the Munster campaign last year, and he went down under recently to participate in a seven's tournament with Melbourne Shamrocks on a temporary transfer and has since returned home.

Elsewhere, Enda Heffernan, who had a three-year stint on the senior panel after being brought in at the start of Colm Bonner's tenure in 2022, remained in the squad up to this year before being omitted by Liam Cahill and his management team for 2025. The Clonoulty Rossmore man will link up with Sydney Shamrocks.
Billy McCarthy will join Heffernan at the Sydney club, with the Thurles Sarsfields man having his transfer confirmed also.
Elsewhere on the February list, a Tipperary football stalwart will also head down under with Colm O'Shaughnessy of Ardfinnan transferring to Clan na nGael GAA in Sydney.
