Rating: 8/10
McCarthy has taken to intercounty action like a duck to water thus far. He has been incredibly efficient in his shooting with a fine first half score from play, and hit all of the placed ball opportunities presented to him.
However, it is his playmaking ability that stands out with two John McGrath points and Oisin O'Donoghue's goal late in the first half directly assisted by the Toomevara man.
