Moyle Rovers are just one game away from place in Munster camogie final

The Moyle Rovers team that beat Ballyduff Upper in the Munster Junior B Camogie Championship quarter-final

Moyle Rovers will play Cork county champions Ballyroe this Sunday, November 23 in the Munster Junior B Camogie Championship semi-final.

After winning the FBD Insurance County Junior B Camogie Championship the previous week, Moyle Rovers were out again last Sunday against Waterford side Ballyduff Upper in the Mai O’Connell Cup Munster championship quarter-final, a game that they comprehensively won by 3-16 to 0-2.

The match, played under floodlights, was Moyle Rovers’ first time playing a competitive adult camogie match outside of the county championship.

Visitors Moyle Rovers settled very quickly into the game and took their scoring opportunities and prevented Ballyduff from scoring.

A long range shot from Ellie Franklin saw Moyle Rovers score their first goal and they extended their lead to 1-4 after 15 minutes.

Moyle Rovers continued their strong attacking and defensive play and at the half time whistle were leading 1-7 to 0-1.

In the second half Moyle Rovers continued their dominance with goals scored by Eabha Dolan and Ciara Slattery and points from Saoirse Bulter, Emma Kiely, Hazel Brennan and Lauren Duggan.
