Abigail is selected to represent Tipperary at national level

Abigail Strappe

St. Ailbe's student, Abigail Strappe, has recently been elected as the new representative for Tipperary on the National Youth Assembly, representing Tipperary Comhairle na nÓg. Abigail is a member of Cappawhite Youth Club, the Tipperary Comhairle and also a member of the Student Council in St Ailbe's School, Tipperary Town.

The theme for this term of the Youth Assembly is civil participation of youth, with special focus on rural, so Abigail is well placed to contribute significantly over the coming months.

She will also be linking with her peers to get feedback on this theme and she attended a specially organised event on Tuesday 3rd October in Dublin Castle, on this topic of youth and civil participation. A mention also for Caleb Ryan from Borrisoleigh who did a great job during this term and hands over a good legacy to Abigail. Abigail will serve her term alongside Aisling Maloney, a former member of Tipperary Comhairle, who has been selected in the college age range.
All at St. Ailbe's are very proud of Abigail's achievements and wish her the very best during her term on the Assembly.
