Two people charged over theft of van from Tipperary Town

A man and woman have appeared before a district court charged in connection with the theft of a van from Tipperary Town in late September.

The two accused, who are aged in their 20s, appeared before Tipperary District Court in Nenagh on Monday.

The white Renault van was parked on Tipperary Town’s Main Street when it was stolen at around 11.30am on Monday, September 25.

It was found in Limerick City that evening. A man and woman were arrested in relation to the vehicle theft on November 4.

A Tipperary Town Garda Station spokesman said the man has also been charged in relation to the breaking of a number of windows in a mini-bus on the Cashel Road in Tipperary on November 4 and the theft of solid heating fuel from Limerick Road, Tipperary in the early hours of November 1.
