Tipperary's best craft and design businesses are set for showcase at the RDS

Some of Tipperary’s best up and coming craft and design businesses will be part of over 100 companies from across Ireland who will get a chance to meet with buyers from all over the world as part of the Local Enterprise Showcase at the Showcase event in the RDS in Dublin, running from Sunday-Tuesday, January 21-23. 

An initiative of the Local Enterprise Offices, the Local Enterprise Showcase is a special area at Showcase that houses a range of Ireland’s newest design talent.

Tipperary will be represented by three business including Drangan-based Away with Nature, promoted by Fiona O‘Donoghue, a skincare formulator of 100% natural skincare and holistic products.

The second company is The Messy Brunette, owned by Maura Bourke, who creates modern and bright, colourful handcrafted wood and acrylic jewellery from her base in Thurles.  Finally, Nenagh-based duo Donncha Ryan and Nicky O’Dwyer of Metal and Mallet, who repurpose salvaged materials and create highly unique pieces of art, furniture and lighting, will also be featured.

The showcase, which is a pinnacle event in the global design and crafts calendar, will open its doors to thousands of buyers from across the world, including Ireland, the UK, USA, mainland Europe, Asia and Africa, generating millions of euros of sales orders during the show.

Showcase is presented on behalf of Design and Crafts Council Ireland, with support from Enterprise Ireland in promoting the trade show internationally through their network of offices overseas, and the Local Enterprise Offices nationwide.
