It is a place where people who have experienced mental health challenges and their relatives, carers or support people can meet on a regular basis. It is open to anyone over 18 years of age who is interested in promoting positive mental health and recovery.
The South Tipp Involvement Centre is located in the Place 4U building at 25, Upper Gladstone Street, Clonmel.
It is open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 11am-1pm for anyone who would like to drop in for a chat, a listening ear or a cuppa.
A person who has experienced the centre said the following:
“It’s a safe haven for people with mental health difficulties to talk and download worries and problems. The involvement centre is for service users, and it is run by service users. All of us come from our own experience and so we can help others with similar issues”.
