Brother
The Adventurer, the Student, the Engineer,
Over hills and mountains, the landscape to orienteer,
Off into the distance the mind would wander, 
Always thinking with much to ponder,
A Husband, a Sibling, a Friend,
Always ready with help to lend,
A task at hand that needs showing,
Always was in the knowing, 
A knowledge that was accumulated over the years,
From books and courses and knowledgeable peers,
Many parts of the globe you were there,
Some you said beyond compare,
Often comfortable in your own space, 
That contented look on your face,
Projects ranged from a few to a lot,
The information was readily got, 
To carry out any work detail,
You grafted hard and did prevail, 
An example set beyond measure, 
Memories are in abundance to treasure 
An early riser to take on the day,
Much  to do and lots to say,
Quiet reflection was often had,
Even when times reflected sad,
You have gone on to the next place,
A memorable send off with Amazing Grace, 
Now you will eternally roam,
When our beloved Mam and Dad came and took you home.

Rest in peace, Richard, loved and missed by your loving wife, Sinead, brothers, neighbours and wide circle of friends.
