RIP: Tributes paid to late Tipperary woman who 'was always so glamourous and pleasant'

The death has occurred of Breda Ross (Née Ryan), of Nenagh Manor Nursing Home, and formerly of Sarsfield Street, Nenagh, Co Tipperary; Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Brooklyn, New York.

Breda passed away peacefully at Nenagh Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, on April 1, 2026.

She is predeceased by her beloved husband Charlie, sisters Joan Ryan and Olive Madden, brother Seamus Ryan and nephew Eoin Madden.

She was a loving aunt to all her nieces, nephews, grand-nephews, grand-nieces and great-grandnephew and nieces.

Breda will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

May she rest in peace.

Breda will lay in repose on Monday, April 6, at Ryan’s funeral home, Nenagh, from 5pm to 6:30pm.

Her Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, April 7, in St Mary’s of the Rosary Church, Nenagh, at 11am, followed by burial in Lisbonny Cemetery.

The family would like to gratefully acknowledge the excellent care and attention that Breda received from the Nenagh Manor Nursing Home where she spent some of the last years of her life.

Tributes have been paid to Breda online following her passing, with one person saying: “My sincere condolences to all of the family on Breda's passing. Breda was a beautiful and kind lady .It was an absolute privilege to know her and care for her, may she rest in peace.”

Another said: “Deepest sympathy to Paula, Eimear and all Breda’s extended family. Breda was always so glamorous and pleasant. May her gentle soul rest in eternal peace.”
