Tipperary Chamber hosts course for employers about helping staff suffering domestic abuse

Tipperary Chamber is hosting an online training programme on Wednesday, June 5 for small businesses to assist with developing their workplace response to employees who are suffering domestic abuse.

Places on the Recognising & Responding to Domestic Abuse in the Workplace course are reserved for representatives of organisations with fewer than 150 employees.

Tipperary Chamber CEO Michelle Aylward told Tipperary Joint Policing Committee’s final meeting that the Chamber has linked up with Women's Aid to assist workplaces respond to domestic abuse.

The June 5 course is now booked out but Ms Aylward says the Chamber will organise further courses if more firms wish to get training in this area. She advises members to contact Tipperary Chamber to express their interest.
