Tipperary Council upgrades eight parking ticket machines in Cashel to solar powered models

Tipperary County Council has upgraded eight pay-and-display parking ticket machines in Cashel to new solar-powered machines.

These machines are not only more sustainable but also user-friendly as they accept both coin and credit card with tap to pay technology, providing greater convenience for all users.

The new machines have been installed on Ladyswell Street, Friar Street, Main Street and in the newly extended Friar Street Car Park.

In addition to these enhancements, Tipperary County Council says it continues to offer the eParking facility.

Users can easily pay for their parking by downloading the Tipperary eParking app or call 0818 06 5004, which provides a contactless payment experience.

"These upgrades are part of our ongoing efforts to improve services and support environmentally friendly initiatives. The new machines, powered by solar energy, reduce our carbon footprint while offering multiple payment options to accommodate user preferences," said a Council spokesperson.

"We encourage everyone to take advantage of these improved facilities and thank you for your cooperation as we transition to a more sustainable and efficient parking system in Cashel."
