Peak Technologies has opened a new customer technology centre in Clonmel. The opening ceremony, officiated by the Mayor of Clonmel, Michael Murphy, marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey toward innovation and development.

“It’s hard to believe that behind these doors in Ard Gaoithe there is a centre of excellence. The innovation and technology here are inspiring,” said Mayor Murphy. “I am very grateful to the team at Peak for choosing Clonmel to invest in. It’s a great vote of confidence for Clonmel, and I hope it’s a catalyst for further investment. I think Peak Technologies are going to be key actors at a local level in digital transformation.”

Denis Conway, Global Senior Director of Technical Operations at Peak Technologies, highlighted the strategic importance of the new centre: “With a presence here of over 24 years, this is a key part of our global expansion, allowing us to better serve our customers across Europe with leading-edge technologies.”
René Schrama, Chief Revenue Officer & Managing Director - Europe, expressed his enthusiasm: “We are really excited today to be opening the Customer Technology Centre here in Ireland. We made a specific investment in what we call Smart Technologies, including Robotics, RFID, Machine Visioning, and AI. Ireland is one of the key places we see a lot of traction in the manufacturing space for these types of technologies.”

The new Customer Technology Centre represents a substantial investment in the local economy. By showcasing cutting-edge technologies and offering state-of-the-art solutions, Peak Technologies aims to attract substantial investment from companies within the Manufacturing, Retail, and Transport & Logistics industries. This influx of investment is expected to bring additional revenue into the area, benefiting local businesses and contributing to the economic vitality of Clonmel.
The centre will serve as a base for demonstrating advanced technologies such as fixed industrial scanning, machine vision, AI and robotics, significantly improving productivity. It will provide the ability to show customers technologies that help with efficiency gains, removing manual processes, and tracking assets and shipments. Additionally, the centre will offer opportunities for collaboration with local educational institutions, promoting innovation and knowledge in the world of technology.

Peak Technologies also plans to expand its network of Customer Technology Centres, with new locations pinned to open in the US and Europe. These centres will mirror the advanced capabilities of the Clonmel facility, providing localised support and showcasing the latest in their smart technologies. This expansion aims to enhance Peak Technologies' global reach, ensuring that more customers can benefit from their innovative solutions and expertise in digital transformation.
