Jamie Duffy, who has amounted a massive 1.6 million listeners a month on Spotify, will play the Source Arts Centre in Thurles this Saturday March 8.

Irish musician Jamie Duffy will begin the next leg of his tour this weekend in the Premier County. 

Duffy, who hails from a small village called Glaslough in County Monaghan, said he's excited to have his Tipperary debut this weekend.

"I'm very excited to play in Thurles. I love playing in different towns in Ireland and getting to meet the locals there too." said Jamie.

With over one hundred million streams on Spotify and 1.6 million monthly listeners, the young musician's reach is spreading further afield than just Ireland. 

Jamie is playing various dates across Ireland, as well as further afield in places like Instanbul and the Netherlands. 

Speaking about bringing his music to places outside of Ireland, Jamie said: "I can play a date in Donegal and then in Instanbul, both very different places but it's a testament to how music is a language in itself."

Jamie's sound is described as a blend of neoclassical, traditional and popular influences and he has become extremely popular on the app TikTok, gathering over one hundred million views of his music on the platform. 

Jamie will play in the Source Arts Centre in Thurles on Saturday March 8 at 8pm.
