Uisce Éireann says its crews are working to restore normal water supply to homes in Ardfinnan and surrounding areas this afternoon, following a significant burst to the water main supplying Ardfinnan Public Water Supply Scheme.
As a result of this burst, customers in Ardfinnan, Goatenbridge, Newcastle, Ballybacon, Grange, Knocklofty and surrounding areas may be impacted by low water pressure and/or water supply disruptions.
Expert water service crews are on site, carrying out the repair works, with every effort being made to complete this work as quickly as possible.

It is estimated that repairs will be complete and supply will return to normal levels by approximately 10pm tonight.
Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty thanked affected customers for their cooperation while these repair works are being carried out.
“We understand how disruptive unplanned outages are and we regret the inconvenience caused. We would like to thank impacted customers for their patience while we work to restore the water supply as quickly as possible.”
Typically, it takes three to four hours following repairs for supply to restore to customers affected by an unplanned outage. However, some customers on the higher ground may be impacted by reduced pressure while the network recharges.
