Attendees will also have the chance to participate in a raffle, with proceeds going to the Aherlow Failte Society. The film offers a cinematic exploration of the Glen of Aherlow, crafted by the trio of Mary Alice O’Connor, Dr Des Marnane, and videographer Caleb Barrett.

The group has earned a reputation for chronicling the history, life, and landscape of West Tipperary with meticulous research and striking visual presentation. Drone footage and archival photographs feature prominently in their work, lending a sense of both grandeur and intimacy to familiar landscapes.

Their previous productions include a recreation of the wedding of Dan Breen, an investigation of Tipperary’s glove-making industry, and an examination of the county’s revolutionary history. Other works have highlighted the natural beauty of West Tipperary, the character of its villages such as Emly and Bansha, and promotional content for Tipperary town. Many of these productions have benefited from funding through Creative Ireland, underscoring the role of public support in preserving local heritage.

All films released by Tipperary Cultural Films are available to view free of charge on their YouTube channel. Between Mountain and Hill: A Portrait of Aherlow is expected to join this online archive in the coming weeks, offering both residents and a wider audience a chance to engage with the region’s distinctive landscapes and stories.
